Dr. Kylie Valentine (Social Policy Research Centre, UNSW) will discuss inequality and its material effects on health and well-being on the 10th November 2016. A growing body of advocacy and research is promoting what has been called a therapeutic approach to social justice. This approach focuses on the harm done to individuals and groups. It has allies and opponents, and it has various forms, but a central feature is the consequences of inequality on everyday practices and habits.
