Report on Women’s specialist DFV services and Aboriginal women. Helping women who have experienced or been affected by domestic and family violence (DFV) is vital but not straightforward. Often women are in crisis and suffering trauma from both the immediate situation and from past histories of violence, abuse and controlling behaviours. They are often the primary carers of children who are also in need of support and assistance.
